About wanderartist
Writing about art, photography, inspiring people and places, sights, travels, artistic process, and whatever strikes my fancy… these are my wanderings – hope you enjoy!
I am a visual artist, museum director/curator and photographer with a diverse background and many interests… My studies have included U.S. & world history, literature, art history, poetry, American Indian studies, studio art, graphic design, and outdoor education. I truly enjoy research, which I consistently delve into in my work in museums and as a blogger.
My creative pursuits have recently focused on woodblock printing and drawing… I also love writing, painting, photography, creating environmental sculpture, sculpting in clay, and exhibit design…
These days I travel full time – drawing, photographing, running, biking and hiking in some of the most amazing places in the country. It is my goal to create a series of woodblock prints documenting inspiring sights from our National Parks. I always carry a drawing pad and tools to create woodblock prints.
