Without any sponsorship or support, I have been shooting an episodic series on the world's greatest hikes. Over the past 8 months, I have gathered footage from trails in New Zealand, Ireland, and the United States. My father is a recurring character in my series and the subject of this short. He is a retired diabetic who has been working on completing the Appalachian Trail for several years. My love of traveling has been inspired by him to a great extent. I have discovered that slowing my pace and traveling on foot allows me more time to appreciate places and to meet people. I have never been to South America, but I speak Spanish and I would be grateful for the opportunity to work on a project in Colombia. Though I have only recently begun shooting films, I am a professional sound and video engineer for live events. I have ten years of experience working on production crews. I also have a solid understanding of sound and video principles and camera direction.
