My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Ordinary. That's me. And I believe there has never been a better time for travel, photography & new ways of story telling. I am a 26-year old banker & cricket fan who travels at least 40 days a year. I want to develop the side of me that views the same place differently, shoots a different mood & tells that story that hasn't been told. It is what motivates me every time I travel or shoot. Having visited 34 countries to date, I am easygoing, love meeting new people & cultures, & learning new things. I once met a professional photographer in Iceland who gave me tips on how to shoot the northern lights. I put his advice to practice that night & was eternally grateful after the results I got. In the medium term, I wish to document the lives of Indian women from each of the 28 states & capture the depth of diversity in these women. In the process I wish to educate the country about socio-cultural differences & hope to indirectly impact its education system to include more gender studies. This is the biggest reason I want to win this scholarship & get mentored by Jason.
I believe the future is what we make of it. I ask for a chance to make mine (& a 1.1 billion-strong country's) better.
