So I decided to go around the world in less than 90 days to loose weight and take a break after 11 years of hard hard work.
Preparing is exciting. I bought light quality stuff, which is not easy.
Finding shoes took 8 days. At the end I found the great Adidas Ultra Boost, super comfortable. The color really conflicts with my Rei zippered pants though.
Finding backpack took 5 days, tried some 30 models. I went with Talon 33, light but little pockets.
Vaccines: typhoid fever and hepatitis A. Picked up eventual malaria pills for Thailand.
Plane tickets Rome Abu Dabi Phuket Bangkok Sydney Auckland at AirTreks. Not sure it was a good choice, will see.
Hardest thing to leave behind: my laptop. Writing on a damn ipad, that's why I'm so short.
Leaving wife and son was terrible. Cried a lot. Miss them very much. Brought with me something from him to remember why I'm doing this.
