I am an artist and a photographer, or at least that’s what I really feel my vocation should be. My style is rather eclectic.

The current themes which occur actively throughout my artistic practice include the notion of cultural identity, personal identity and sense of place.My ideas are visual explorations and depictions of the existing connections between places and identities.I prefer only to photograph the traces of human presence which are left behind in a landscape,therefore offering my spectators a freedom of interpretation.

I am certain that Oman is the perfect place for me to further develop my ideas,given the fact that it is a country with interesting cultures which I’ve never had an acquaintance with.For me it would be a challenge to document an unfamiliar cultural society and its traditions but that is what motivates my artistic interests especially as I am trying to continue my investigations and experiments related to the themes of sense of place and cultural identities.I am passionate about my photographic practice and I would like to advance my technological knowledge.I believe that taking a part in this scholarship will enrich my creativity and technical skills.
