I left this year with the intention of cellebrating my life after raising three children to adulthood and feeling satisfied with my life thus far. I had always intended to have "an adventurous life" once my family obligations had slowed down.
In my earlier years I had travelled extensively and knew what it took to take on the challenge of being a solo woman traveller. My interest in developing countries and early childhood, family wellbeing and community development also gave me a focus and purpose for travel. My aim was not to simply go sight seeing, rather share some of my skills and get inspiration for my creativity.
This year has prooved to be far more than that. It has been a source for much learning and huge personal challenges on many levels. I have gained great insights into the world, humanity and myself.
