My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Worldwide | Tuesday, November 8, 2011 | flickr photos

“I photograph to see what something will look like photographed”. This quote, by Gary Winogrand, shows one of the reasons why my finger can’t stop pressing the click Button. It’s become a passion, an inseparable part of my life, the documentation of what I see around me. Photography is our way to fight oblivion, to freeze memories, to reproduce as many times as we wish moments that won’t come back.
Apart from that, photography is so magical because it allows us to share views and visions of people and places that many others haven’t seen. It’s another way to tell a story, a very powerful one. My relationship with photography is totally driven by passion: it grabbed me, I’m infected. I Can’t live without it. Want to do it for a living.
Maybe all the photos have already been taken. Maybe there’s no such a thing as original view or decisive moment. But who knows? Each photographer has to find on his own way – and clicks – the images that will be strong enough to touch people, among so many other images.
