    Coolies, workers(who load stuff in the trains luggage compartments ) and shopkeepers usually know each other. I have seen them sharing laughter's, having discussion and even getting angry at each other at times. Though they have no common tasks, still they come in contact with each other and become friends. In their free times they sit together and discuss their up's and down's in life and days. by: varundhir Views[340] This boy represent all the boys who lives at the station and make there living out of the rages-water bottles, contains, papers- thrown by the passengers on to the platform or on the railway tracks. They risk there lives to collect the waste from the tracks, so that they can sell it and earn something out of it. Usually whole family is involves in this task. Many a times members from different families fight over the collect just a simple plastic bottle thrown by the passenger. This boy was having some quite time sitting with his mates after collecting some plastic bottles. by: varundhir Views[372] When passengers enter the Old Delhi platform there is big screen were passengers to get to see running status of their trains and on which platform their train is coming. Its very useful as there are dozens of trains arriving at station at a single time and to keep up with their location these big display screens are very useful. As the inquiry counters are mostly flooded with people and there is a chance you miss the announcement at a Delhi Railway station because of the heavy noise of locomotives & crowds. These Display boards also tells passengers anout the platform number on which train is coming. you know how much this information is helpful when there are 16 platforms at a station. by: varundhir Views[731] In the scene above we can see people are waiting for their respective journey to start. All are waiting either on the ground(family of husband and wife and their two kids), on benches(lady and an old man), and on the luggage(which is to be loaded by coolies in the luggage compartment of the train on the next platform). Its a typical scene of an Indian Railways platform. by: varundhir Views[469] Trains are getting ready for their journey to start. Few are on their respective platform, while most in this scene are not on the platforms -as they are done with their part of the journey ans getting ready for the next one. and has been parked onthe side tracks.
