My Scholarship entry - Road Trip

I've been travelling around the world on my own dime, living in an RV, since May 2013, and doing what I love: travel and shoot pictures. When people see me, standing somewhere in the cold and pouring rain with a big lens, and ask me whether I'm a professional, my reply is: "I'm a wannabe". I get down and dirty and do whatever it takes to get the shot I envision. Sometimes it works out, other times I return the next day for another attempt.
Having graduated as a photographer and with a few years of experience under my belt experimenting with pro equipment, I feel ready for the next step and finally be able to answer the question I get asked so often with a resounding "Yes!".

I would love the opportunity to learn what the life of a professional photographer on assignment looks like! Having spent 5 months in Central America in the first half of 2014, I would love the opportunity to photograph Latin American culture and explore the jungles south of the equator.

Now if I could only get chosen ...
