My Travel Photography Scholarship entry 2012- Tonle Sap Cambodia

Cambodia | Friday, January 11, 2013 | 5 photos

I love photography as it is a great way of documenting my life, my family, friends and places I have visited. I enjoy the whole process of telling stories from the moment I pick up the camera to the end point where I create my photography coffee table books to share my memories. I keep a visual diary, collecting all the images that I like. This is to help myself improving on the techniques and reminding me places I like to visit and the sort of images that I like to capture in the future. I love travel photography, particularly documentary photography because the photographer is facing with the challenge of being able to see pass all the hardship, poverty, despair or even just the mundane of simple day to day living activities and capture the beauty of human emotions, relations, hope and dreams. After 4 years of being the amateur, whilst it will be easier for me to be the next newborn/family photographer, I want to combine photography with some humanitarian work as well. Winning this scholarship would not only help to improve my skills but also lead me to the right path where I could share my passion and give something back to the community.
