I am a girl, who growing with small family members. I was born in Banda Aceh, Aceh province, Indonesia. I never go wherever except two cities, Meulaboh and Lhoksemawe. That’s my parent hometown. Usually, my parents go to their hometown to celebrate Idul fitri ( muslim holyday) every year. I really bored with this situation. Can you imagine, if you just go with the same place all the times? But it will be changes. When I m 20 years old, I determined to make plan in my life, I will go wherever to see the world to meet different people, to make my footprints not just in my hometown.
For the first time, I go out of my city without my family. I went to my friend hometown. Honestly, it just next province from Aceh. But for me, it was a big opportunity to see the world. I feel like “a frog in coconut shell” before. It’s like Indonesian proverb for people who do not knows everything about the world.
I go to siantar, with my friends, cia and dewi by bus on night. It need 12 hours to get there. All the night I was sleep on the trip. At the morning, we arrived in medan province, we take a breakfast than change the bus to continue the trip.
after 4 hours on the way, we already arrived at dewi house. I need to take a rest, so tired. Before I sleep, me and cia have to meet dewi mothers and her grandma to knows each other. Than, they allowed me to take a rest. I need only half hours to refresh myself.
After wake up, dewi asked us to go around. The air is so fresh even in afternoon. It’s really difference with my hometown which is hot and crowd. Here is so quiet. In siantar, we can see how people with different religion try to kept peace each other. in this side I can see a mosque and in another side, about 500 meters a church stand without conflict. I feel really difference. How can they manage their routine activity with people who difference about their perspective? For me, I m so surprise cause all of my life just meet with the same people and interact with them.
Next day, we went to zoo near to dewi house. Again, it’s my first time to see peacock. So beautiful. And I can not believe that peacock not only on green feather but also in white feather. Than we go around.
we went to Toba lake from zoo by bus, and the driver asked me," why you wanna go to Toba lake? to see dolphins?" in my mind,.. ooh God, i will see dolphins. than after arrived at Toba, i remember here is a lake, not ocean.there is no dolphins. such a funny things.
