I'd been in Texas a decade, arriving via Saudi Arabia, India and California. I was privy to and conversant in more worldviews than is absolutely sane. I'd been living for three years, in an international student cooperative, and expanded my horizons. But I was growing restless.
I had never lived in India longer than six months. I moved. After a brief stint in lifestyle journalism, I now run an organic farm, offering a much better cheese than the "plastic" that Amul peddles.
I've grown up used to absorbing various worldviews, and loving it. I am significantly versed in the cultures and histories of southeast Asia. I will bring curiosity and inquisitiveness, which are now skills honed over a lifetime.
