Urban Spaces

I am young filmmaker from Brazil who fell in love with documentaries straight after university. I worked on different doc productions, working my way up the ladder ( researcher, production assistant). But after realizing I really wanted to be a director I decided not to wait for the opportunities to knock on my door and made them happen instead, and that's why I think I deserve to win. I am driven,focused and I run after opportunities. I bought all my gear and decided to make films. Xampy ( co directed with my best mate) is my first short (https://vimeo.com/107103114 password: danipaulo).It has been shown in more then 10 festivals around the world including Amsterdam GLBT Film Festival, Rio Film Festival e others in Argentina, Mexico, USA and Germany. After that I decided to pursue my career as a documentary filmmakereven further and I just got accepted to do a masters degree in Visual Anthropology in Berlin which I will start this October. My entry for the competition is a short doc about this 2 DJs in São Paulo, whom wants to put their music to good use and open up a debate about housing issues ( so current in every country these days)
