My Scholarship entry - Two/too-few days in the nature

Italy | Tuesday, November 18, 2014 | 5 photos

Born in 1993, I’m now living in Bergamo where I’m studying Communication at University.

Photography is the way I live, not because I want to fix or stop events, rather I believe in photography as a way to appreciate what is around us. It gives the photographer and the spectator, a unique opportunity to understand exactly what beauty is and what beauty can do to our mind. Beauty is everywhere, more so where we don’t expect it. Photography teaches us to understand it. Something as simple as taking a photo, teaches us to notice and appreciate minute details that on a day to day basis we so easily fail to notice. Our world is beautiful and we do need to love it.

In essence, photography is a tool which permits us to speak out loud about pretty much anything words can not describe. Photography is but a mean of communication and we have to be able to use it for to express how we feel about the world that surrounds us, as a writer does with his pen.

My goal is to use photography to live around the world and I want my camera to be almost the only material thing I care about.

"the more a photograph is essential, the more it will be understandable"
