This boy's receding hairline is caused by his protein deficient diet.

These girls are busy preparing fufu, a staple of the Togolese diet. The girls are pounding boiled yams until they become a sticky dough which is served with a sauce and eaten with the hands.

The rainy season provides excellent conditions for beautiful sunsets and growing sorghum. Sorghum is grown almost exclusively to brew tchouk, the local beer.
