Some meetings bring about change in a big grand way.You change something while embracing a life changing miracle.You tread on a different path, target a goal you never thought you will and finally grow into that miracle.And some bring about change in a way that you don't realize it’s happened.But it has come stayed and changed you.Small,ignorant meetings & exchanges.You remain who you are go back to your life but carry with yourself an experience that breezed into your life & left you smiling,forever.I happen to fall into the latter.Nothing moved, nothing shifted but it’s as if I came out looking at the world upside down.She was always there, curled up in the bunk below me while I awaited the morning sun to shine on Barcelona in my dreams.Cheap flight rides bad food & an odd hour to arrive left me dead on my bed as I checked into my hostel perched on the famous Barcelona beach strip clearly oblivious to its beauty at night.Friendly,chatty enthusiastic & beautiful Brazilian genes;I was greeted long before I could introduce myself.My plan was simple.A calculated tourist with a map, the city bus tour, the beach, the sunset and imbibe all the flavors around me.What I neglected ignorantly was interaction,& making friends.& then She changed all my plans.My perfect itinerary was shredded with her spontaneity that I was so afraid to tread into, after all I was nothing but a tourist?My week turned into mischievous meetings and curious strangers.My plan was securely still present I realized, all of it.Only thing that was different was everything and yet nothing.I was suddenly not the camera hung, notes taking, backpack holding tourist.I was learning to be a traveler.We communicated in Portuguese and broken Spanish, no common ground, & still shared the passion.I had finally embraced the true meaning behind discover.An encounter with her was all it took to change that part of me forever.And that is how you evolve from a tourist to a traveler; and you can take yourself anywhere
