About trish297
Passion...I love what I do..itʼs about their stories, being with the people, spending time
with my subjects, capturing that “disappearing presence” which is fading away from
these industries.
Spending twelve months with a New England farmer, five months in a factory capturing
the closing of a 151 year old furniture factory in my town. the Chair City, and three years
with the hardworking fishermen in Newport Rhode Island, going out to sea with them for
days to have a sense of their life at sea.
Itʼs about falling in love with each story.. My eyes and my camera are the tools I use to
preserve these portraits of lives being lived.
It would be an honor, a privilege, and a gift to be able to explore the culture of Bhutan
with a professional photographer; to learn new ways of seeing and documenting and to
enhance my own work. Having ʻtraveledʼ through the wondrous photography of others,
this opportunity to travel abroad and do what I love most is humbling to me and would
be most rewarding as a step to the next level.
