My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

India | Tuesday, November 8, 2011 | flickr photos

I am a student and a freelance photographer, and I look ahead to photography as a career. I have been trekking since my primary schooling and have been to small expeditions in India and Nepal, the time I first learnt to use a camera to capture my stories. Traveling for me has always played a more important role than food. I have not only been observing and dissolving myself into mysteries of people, culture and traditions of places I visit to but I also believe that it is all about demystifying and revealing the secrets which a photographer needs to put forth, through captive portraits, which I do while I travel.
Everyone wishes to have a dream career, mine too is a long chased dream. I always wanted to be a travel photographer, but since my childhood I’ve never been using a professional camera till last year when I got hold of one. But not for a moment did I stop traveling around to capture moments however my equipment might be. I not only want to learn more about photography for which I wish to have a mentor but also learn the technicalities of camera equipment and the way they are used abroad. I do not seek for the luxuries but it is the experiences that counts the most to me to acknowledge life. I believe to go as per the criteria’s mentioned in the website, will be grateful getting an opportunity for the exploration and to let my eye do the work, and see the world a bit differently and for the profession I feel I am well suited..
