Inside the farm house, in front of the open fire.
The boys look mesmerised ....... sure beats those tame civilised open fires with altogether too many safety features that one finds in the modern Australian home. Children are enthralled with things that are potentially dangerous and out of the ordinary ........ reminds me of the CSIRO scientist at the girls' birthday party warning the children that if they came any closer to the liquid nitrogen a body part could freeze and drop off or they could even die - the children were absolutely rapt and unbelievably attentive.
