My name is Denis.
I am a self-learner photographer, vagabonding the world for 8 years.
It's a special time we are living in.
Globalisation is building a new picture of the world. Ancient traditions are intersecting with modern values, religions are collapsing into each other creating new forms of spirituality.
Social activism is bringing a new light to third world countries.
Beside that, in the remote corners of global culture, you may find almost untouched cultures and nature.
I find all these processes incredibly interesting for capturing.
My main goal is to capture images of how anthropological, geographical and historical factors are merging together, forming new faces and surfaces. Greenland, as a furthest fortpost of western culture, seems perfect for that.
This scholarship is a great opportunity. I feel it would be a huge step for me to experience Greenland with such tutor as Jason.
