Betjeman Arms

UNITED KINGDOM | Monday, 4 May 2015 | Views [132] | Scholarship Entry

The grand building of St Pancras Station is where me and my sister left in September 2013 from on board the Euro Star. After we checked ourselves in we had time to grab something to eat and drink before we embarked on our journey. We were going to go for a coffee but wanted a quick bite to eat somewhere different. So after looking around the station past the usual places such as Starbucks etc... we came across The Betjeman Arms. The pub can be found under the iron and glass arch of the St Pancras Train Shed. When it opened, the arched train shed was the largest single-span roof in the world. The Betjeman Arms has a large terrace outdoor looking onto the International Eurostar tracks. Fittingly for our journey, the pub is known as the 'Last stop before Paris'. It offers some station culture for tourists embarking on their Eurostar or other journey.
