My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Worldwide | Sunday, October 10, 2010 | 5 photos

THE PHOTOS WERE TAKEN WAITING FOR THE SUN TO COME UP IN THE DESERT IN MOROCCO NEAR TO DADES. I AM A TOUR MANAGER WITH A GROUP AND THE MAN IN CHARGE OF THE CAMELS - IN HIS VERY DISTINCTIVE DRESS - WAS OBVIOUSLY VERY BORED. TOTALLY SWITCHED OFF FROM THE GROUP, HE WAS OBVIOUSLY AWARE OF HOW STRIKING THE COLOURS WERE IN HIS OUTFIT WAS HAPPY JUST TO POSE FOR THE PHOTOS. I LOVE THE LAST PHOTO - JUST ME AND MY CAMEL - OBVIOUSLY THE TWO ARE VERY CLOSE - JUST STARING AT EACH OTHER. SUN HAVING ROSE, JOB DONE, PHOTOS TAKEN, ANOTHER DAY OVER. NEXT GROUP IN THE MORNING....... JUST ANOTHER BORING DAY WORKING IN THE DESERT WITH ANOTHER TOUR GROUP. MY LOVE WOULD BE TO PHOTOGRAPH AND LEARN FROM AND NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC PHOTOGRAPHER - SEE HOW A FULL DAY IN PURSUIT OF THE PERFECT PHOTO IS ACHIEVED. ONE CAN ALWAYS LEARN, AND THIS WOULD BE SUCH AN INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THE MASTERS AT WORK AND SEE JUST HOW TENACIOUS THEY HAVE TO BE TO PURSUE THEIR GOAL. I TAKE PHOTOS WHEN I AM TRAVELLING WITH GROUPS, A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY IN ITSELF BUT TO LEARN WITH A PROFESSIONAL WOULD BE MY DREAM COME TRUE.
