Catching a Moment - The river and the mirror

40 min separated Kate from becoming the happiest girl in the world…for so many years I craved to see this absolutely electric place.
And here am I at London Victoria train station and in a few moments - marching straight to the symbol of the capital itself – to Big Ben. I noticed that it's extremely easy to orientate in London. On every corner, bus stop or crossroad you'll find a map with “you are here” label or pointer with streets or famous sights names, or simply a friendly Londoner, who'll be eager to show you the right direction.
Roads underneath my feet, which saw so many epochs, so many ages, old massive buildings and contrasting high-tech glass and steel skyscrapers standing together, created absolutely fantastic view of the city. And so I was walking, daydreaming when BAM! I saw it – the peak of Big Ben tower. That made my feet fasten the step and my heart flutter as some kind of big butterfly. When I finally reached it, I must confess ladies and gentlemen, that emotions overwhelmed me completely and a couple of tears fell down on my burning cheeks.
But I had no time to waste due to the huge plans for these couple of days, so I bought a map in one of the hundreds little souvenir shops and circled all the “must see” places, sitting on the grass under the brightly shining sun (who said it's always raining in England?).
After checking-in into my hostel I hurried to Tate Gallery of modern art, which was literally the next building to my hostel. It was truly an amazing experience for me, as a person who’s deeply interested in art. Load of inspiration, loads of feelings.
Then in 3 days I managed to explored Hyde Park and Soho, had some exotic food tasting in China Town, pretended to be Sherlock, fell in love with traditional English carrot cake, strolling through Buckingham palace and filmed the change of guards. This motley whirl of iconic places, well-known from books or films and incredible energy of the place made Kate get out of breath and surprisingly peaceful at the same time. I never felt so amazing, never felt so divine.
I left my soul in London. Got it from my bag, than looked at it one last long time and then threw this circle shimmering piece of mirror to the Thames.
It's strange that I remember every little thing, which happened to me there, but I can't recall my departure…maybe that's exactly because my soul is still there? Well, by all means, I'm going to visit her someday and not even once…
