South East Asia transportation

My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Worldwide | Wednesday, October 6, 2010 | 4 photos

Our dream was to visit Asia, so, my husband and I decided to start in South East Asia. We arrived in Bali last May, and rented a house in Sanur, a small Fishing Village. Everything was very exciting and different for me. Perhaps most impacting was how people used motorcycles and bicycles, differently from the West. Every scene was a pictures and a painting to my eyes. I wanted to document everything and once again my love for this art was flourished. I had just recaptured my dormant hobby from the days of Arts University in Brazil. The problem was these hiders went too fast for me and my camera. I could not take a good photo, but I would not quit.
Also, I loved how happy they were just by having a way to transport their family and doing their work, granted in many instances in a very busy roads system.
My idea upon returning home was to find a photography classes so as to "Portrait the World" and while renewing my insurance with World Nomads I found the contest with the offer of a Scholarship. A dream fit for me.
