Commuter Train

Standing on that train platform, made my mind wandering. This weekend, unlike others, I decided to impulsively trying something new. Usually I’ll just hang around in some coffee shops around my University. This morning I bought some train ticket and just ride.
The train was coming, people rushed to get in, it’s not a busy hour so I still get a seat even though I take my time. For many, this must be everyday routine. While for me, this is my first time, I wonder whether there are others like me in the same coach.
Looking around, I see this train very similar with the Japanese train that I ride awhile back when I visit Japan. I enjoyed that experience very much, yet I didn’t want to use my own country public transportation. It’s no secret that many Indonesian’s trains are second-hand trains from Japan. Still so many differences too, like all the digitalized route pointer is gone, replaced by some kind of poster, I guess we don’t have enough money to keep using that technology.
Moving on to the people inside, there are diversity of people here, after all this is the capital city. There’s a couple holding hand while fell asleep, a kid looking out the window while excitingly pointing on everything, those two men beside me who talking about some business in their traditional language which I guess they are Sumatrans, also some Korean students judging from the way they wear their clothes and the shape of their eyes.
Reaching the last stop, I decided to get out and try another line, while keep wondering, why on earth I decided to do this.
