World Challenge 2016 Cambodia/Vietnam

About tphsteam4

Hi Everyone,

This is Team 4 of World Challenge and we will be posting on this blog throughout our adventure. We will be travelling through Cambodia and Vietnam for 3 weeks visiting Rural villages and well-known tourist attractions. Our first day we are visiting the temples of Angkor which are considered to be one of the most significant archaeological sites in south-east Asia. We then travel to Phnom Penh where we spend the next 2 days visiting the sites of Cambodia. We then take a bus to Banlung where we will speak tour trek provider to confirm arrangement ensuring everything is in place for our trek the next morning. From here, we begin our four-day jungle trek in the Ratanakiri province, before coming back to Banlung for our final night in the province before heading to our next location. This is where we travel over the border from Cambodia to Vietnam. We make this trip by bus crossing into Vietnam at the Le Thanh border. Next, we travel to Nha Trang, where we enjoy a bustling beach resort and pearly-white sandy beaches for the day. Now we enjoy the famed coastline of Nha Trang, adventuring into the crystal clear waters with our snorkels. We spend our final morning relaxing on the beach, before our overnight train journey south to Ho Chi Minh city. We now venture into the next phase of our trip, where we engage in the community and begin our project in Thien Binh hamlet, Tam Phuoc village, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province. Here we will experience a unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in a community, giving an insight into rich, new culture. When our community project comes to an end we will return to Ho Chi Minh city and try the aspects of the city we may have missed out on previously. On the same day, we will be visiting the Mekong Delta enjoying the famous floating markets and maybe take a cruise down the canal or a cycle along the riverbanks. From the 4th-5th of July, we depart Vietnam and catch a flight back to Aus!
