Taking photos is my personal remedy for a world that is so busy and digitally connected, yet somehow more alone. A photo allows me to freeze a moment in time. To stop, withdraw and better understand myself and the world around me.

I live in Sydney, working in the world of advertising. A far cry from growing up in regional Queensland as a kid, with wide spaces and places to roam. The feeling of constraint I get in the city has led me to find solace in anything involving the outdoors. It gives me a chance to see first hand people enjoying the Australian environment, and witness the uniqueness of its people and culture.

With a passion for the outdoors, I have wanted to share this with others. I find I can best express myself through photography and I’m learning to use it as a means to tell a story. While technically I have much to learn, my focus is to improve my vision: to share the context, the emotion, the beauty.

I want to be able to share the Australian lifestyle with its diversity - hopefully with people who I will never meet. Maybe it will prompt them to step away from their normal well worn path and be encouraged to take some new steps on a different path.
