10 years ago on a family holiday to Hurghada in Egypt is when my real interest for photography kicked in. This was the first time I'd held a camera and really thought about the picture I was taking, even though I didn't know about composition or any other rules, I was looking for ways to frame my photos naturally and looking for different perspectives. Over the last 10 years I have covered most aspects of photography, but my real passion has always been wildlife and landscapes.
My other great passion is travelling, although I have yet to visit many of my dream destinations.
I feel I should be chosen for this assignment as I have a burning passion for photography and documenting what I see in an original and interesting way. All I've wanted since being out of education is to travel and take photos, learn hands on and fulfil my talents to their greatest heights. If you were to ask anyone that knows me what my dream would be, they'd say to work as a travelling photographer for a publication like National Geographic. I want the opportunity to be thrown into a whole new environment, pushed to exceed what I think I'm capable of, out of my comfort zone and progressing in my work.
