Around 600 years ago, the skies turned blood red and through the boiling hot water rose a volcano off the shores of what is now Auckland, New Zealand. Rising above the sea, remnants of volcanic rock are slowly being hidden away by grasses and moss. Once an inhospitable area, Mt. Ragnitoto lies beneath a blanket of green trees.
