My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Greece | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos
My name is Apostolos Liakopoulos, I’m 35 years old, I live in Thessaloniki, Greece and I work as a dog trainer/handler at the airport of Thessaloniki. I start taking photos when I was kid but I bought my first SLR camera at 2006. Since then I have participated at a few photography workshops and now I study cinematography to learn more about image and photo.
The reason for me to love photography is that I can capture my emotions that I feel at the moment of taking a photo and I can have the same feeling every time I see it. I prefer capturing people and their contact, urban scenes, animals and landscapes. Every theme I photo is natural, in the time of action, I don’t like to direct scenes and that makes me think how I can have a better shot of my subject and improve the capture. If I could travel and take photos for the rest of my life, my dreams would come true.
This travel scholarship is really a lifetime opportunity for me to learn from a National Geographic photographer and I’ll do my best if I will be chosen .
