About toka
My passion for photography and adventure keep grows since I bought my first camera in 2006 I travelled across my country visited most of the cities, ports and oasises and today I choose to present Aswan – the land of Nuba- and tell a story about land and people.
Since I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and ethnics and enrich my background with their stories I also work on developing my photographic skills and knowledge and I believe this scholarship is my opportunity to do same.
I see myself fit perfectly with this assignment and what it takes from commitment, passion, dynamic, creativity and willing to learn and expand my skills taking this great chance with Jason and get exposed to his valuable experience in translating stories visually.
I am planning to follow my passion and dream to keep exploring places and people and weave this together and tell endless stories about us, our hopes, our daily struggles, our laughs, our history and our future. And I am looking forward telling my next story from Oman in more developed and professional way supported by Jason's tips and supervision.
