My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Tim, I'm 34, married and a father of two kids. I am also from New Zealand. I have grown up with the diverse beauty of NZ subtly etching it's influence into my soul. I have recently found a way to share the emotion that I feel when looking at places and faces through my photography.
When I was young we had holidays in some of the most pristine places you could think of, sadly those same places are now becoming... infested with humanity and it's vices and are quickly changing. My vision and aim is to capture images, mainly landscapes, in order to capture that moment in time forever.
I have always been interested in travel although circumstance has not really afforded me the privilege to be able to do so. I am a baker in my day job, which as you can imagine involves early starts and long hours.
I absolutely love being in the outdoors, camping under the stars, getting back to nature - what better place to do that than in Greenland? I know that the arctic environment especially is changing rapidly and I would love to be able to document what is there today for future generations. I also want to take my craft to the next level and I believe this is the catalyst to do so.
