Surfing in Cornwall - Godrevey

Hi. My name is Nicola White. I am currently in the midst of giving up my job in order to follow my passion which is writing, and making art from pieces of glass, pottery, driftwood etc... that I pick up along the banks of the River Thames in London. Having worked for over 25 years in the corporate sector, this is a huge move for me, but the call of my real passion has become so strong I can no longer ignore it! I am also a mudlark, beachcomber, and a message in a bottle hunter. With all of our modern technology these days, I absolutely love a real handwritten letter.  This is why I am so keen on hunting for messages in bottles, and then tracing the authors. I have found messages in bottles from people of many different nationalities and love to keep in touch with them, and trace them if at all possible.  I have a penfriend in San Quentin prison who I have now written to for over 7 years and we met for the first time this year in April 2015. My mudlarking along the banks of the River Thames in London involves going down to river foreshore at low tide and searching for pieces of history dropped in the river often hundreds of years ago!  You would be amazed at the wonderful variety of items which can be found when the tide is low. Each tide is different. I do keep a blog about all my finds on my website, which is www.tidelinart.com.  I hope you enjoy it.
