Flies can be difficult to capture. But these two "buzy flies" were quite oblivious to the large camera lens which stared straight at them. The single drop still stuck on its eye are the remains of a storm that passed by earlier. I have come to learn that flies love pineapple leaves to rest on but I am still unsure why. You can learn so much from observing their behavior.

Elephant weevils are one of my favorite critters to capture. They can sometimes be quite hard to capture as they tend to fly away, but this one fit perfectly on the flowering hedge in my garden. This is yet another cute critter with a sense of curiosity and slight head tilt.

A praying mantis in the midst of the night, hunting for its prey until the light of my torch interrupts its stalking. While they look scary, I have come to learn they are quite graceful in their movements. Reminds me of a ninja under the moon light!
