Ryan Schwartz was once a nomadic freelancer, enjoying travel as a way of life. But then Portland, Oregon stopped him in his tracks. He's worked for NGOs in southern Africa, hotels in Japan, and gardens in Europe. When he's not helping non-profits communicate their message, Ryan is searching out the little adventures that can be found in everyone's backyard. He is inspired by people and events that push cultural boundaries, local twists on traditional food, and the beauty of the natural world.
