Pandani grove, Mt. Field NP

Named after the world's tallest heath, the Pandani Grove walk circuits Lake Dobson and is a great family walk during fine weather. Make sure you keep an eye out for Platypuses as they are occasionally seen in the lake at dusk and dawn.

The Pandani is a remarkable subalpine plant that is only found in Tasmania. At the far end of Lake Dobson you will come across an incredible forest full of Pandanis and Pencil Pines.
