My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I‘m a 19-year old Danish guy and I love experiencing the world's vast diversity of life! I've travelled to many corners of the world, but National Geographic is still my window to countries and cultures I've never in my life encountered before.
In my opinion, photography is the best way to convey a story and the best way to catch people's attention. It is very graphic and everyone – regardless of language or education - can understand it. Everybody can feel either happiness or misery through a photograph. Because of that a photograph is the best way to convey a message, to tell a story and to create awareness and encourage people to act.
I have a great passion for traveling and experiencing the world's rich cultures and I always bring my camera along. Being a great admirer of National Geographic, the finest within photography, I would love the chance to learn more about this craft, to be able to document my experiences, and tell people’s stories.
My biggest dream in life is to make photography my way of life. I think it's a difficult business to get into, but I think this scholarship would be a step further on the road to becoming a photographer.
