I'm a young women with an intense interest in photography and learning about the world. In my life I've been told "no" and that I won't succeed more often than I can count, and it only makes me more determined to succeed. This experience would be invaluable to my personal confidence and experiences, and as I'm a quick learner, a good writer, and a competent photographer with a unique eye for perspectives that is able to make people think differently about even the most mundane things. I also have experience in the outdoors, both in a volunteer position with a national organisation here in New Zealand, and on more basic level. The truth is I enjoy pushing myself past my comfort zone, because that is where the greatest experiences happen. With a different perspective on life and a strong desire to learn about new countries, places and people, I believe I will be a good person for this apprenticeship with Jason Edwards in the Peruvian Amazon.
