My Scholarship Entry - A 'Place' I Have Visited

I am Jason and camera is an escape to my quandaries in life and plays significant purpose in my personal journey. It inspires me and boosts my self-esteem. It is one of the few things I am proud to do. Photography has been my personal weapon to keep myself linked with nature especially when the society insists that the life I have is far from “natural.” I speak primarily of gender preference and being judged harshly in this part translates pain. Yet, photography helps bridging the gap. It makes me see more of myself and show the world that beauty captured by lens of LGBT’s are no different to the beauty captured by the lens of “normal” people. It defines me what I can do and who I am. Perhaps this is the reason why most of my personal subjects are about nature. This time, I just don't want photography to be an escape from my ordinary life but a world to bigger opportunities. I want to be an expert in this field as a way to make a difference in life. To have training with maestro is a big leap to pursue a career in photography, a chance that I am going to embrace for the rest of my life because this is where my heart is, and I hope to start capturing “success” right here.
