The Deans Do CMJ 2013-So Brooklyn!

Our lives inspired the subject matter having recently relocated to Brooklyn from Texas. New York is my new back yard, and lucky me, the Dean of Style is my brother. The next thing I know he has me volunteering during the CMJ Music Marathon. To give is to truly receive here because all volunteers earn a press pass with full access to CMJ events .

I loved every minute of it.

To date, my experience as a filmmaker/presenter is only as a passion/hobby. My ambition as a filmmaker/presenter is to master the art of digital storytelling in front of and behind the lens. Winning this scholarship would mean everything to me. I bet my life and career on my pursuit of happiness to be a media entrepreneur. Winning would provide me with the necessary skill set to bring my stories to life on screen. In many ways I feel like I have already won as I truly enjoyed the creation process. Having a clear goal to focus on, The Dean of Style and I joined forces one last time to give a collaboration one last try. And what happens when you open Pandora’s box? The Deans Do CMJ 2013 – So Brooklyn will be the first of many internet tales from The Two Crazy Texans who live on the other side of the bridge.
