My Photo scholarship 2010 entry
Australia | Sunday, October 17, 2010 | 5 photos
I'm currently in my final year of study at UNSW in Australia. I am doing a Bacelor of Fine Arts, majoring in photomedia.
These photos were taken while I was touring Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.
Compared to my home city, these countries were constantly awake and full of motion and light - things were always happening. Before I left I was told that Seoul was a city for young adults, and I completely agree. While the twenty-somethings partied every night I was always interested in observing the older generations who seemed to be able to block it all out and have a nap while they were supposed to be working.
The two photos that aren't of sleeping people are images that I find rather amusing for obvious reasons.
I have been saving for camera gear and for trips to new countries to use my cameras in. Unfortunately both are rather expensive endeavours, however, I will make certain that I have the chance to wander streets with no destination in mind, simply waiting for another photographic opportunity to present itself.
