Hello! My name is Delmis, I'm 22, and I was born and raised in Puerto Rico!
My whole life I've pursued the idea of a nomadic adventure, to travel across different countries and cultures, and immerse myself in the food, the language, the community, and most importantly, to adapt to a completely new global perspective. This is particularly because I haven't strictly lived in the same home for more than 2 years, which takes away any feelings of homesickness. I don't like to think of a specific space as being my home, but moreso a state of being. I am home when I'm in the company of happiness. I live to seek out global and social enrichment because being among individuals of different cultures and from various parts of this world allows me to see life through a different lens. I love the idea of starting anew or of living from your bag so as to enjoy the things that matter, the sacredness of the human connection and the experience of life through nature. It's the simple pleasures of life that bring me the most joy I could ever possibly imagine, which is why I chose to dedicate my submission to the time I was most happiest in my life, when I went on a 3 week trip to Italy. My first time abroad too!
