My Scholarship entry - Wandering the streets of Seville
Spain | Sunday, January 13, 2013 | 5 photos
For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by photography. National Geographic was the first magazine to capture my imagination, the images in all their rawness mesmerised me.
Friends who have seen my photos have encouraged me to look into this as a career and I am now at a stage in my life where I’m ready to nurture my skills and pursue this passion further. I have had no professional or technical training in the field of photography and this is my first ever photo submission.
I have always been curious and inspired by life and all its complexities. I am passionate about human and animal rights and environmental issues. There are simply no words to describe the feeling I get from a new experience, whether it be a place, observing people in their environment or watching nature in all its glory. I believe a picture speaks louder than words and my aim is to convey and capture moments to share.
This scholarship would be my dream come true; firstly the opportunity to work in the field along side Jason and learn first hand invaluable skills and knowledge; secondly it would set me up with a great platform to begin a career as a professional photographer.
