At the end of a narrow street, the Basilica of San Isidoro peeks out from behind city buildings in the center of quaint Leon, Spain.

Here, we celebrate a 100th birthday of my host brother's great Aunt. The Spanish culture taught me a lot about the importance of celebration and family.

After visiting the city of Leon, we trekked out into countryside, where we were greeted by lush green foliage and majestic mountains. After a long and filling lunch, I spotted these linens that were hung to dry. I can still feel the wind and smell the fresh air.
