While exploring the dunes of the Oregon Coast, I found this caterpillar who walked with a purpose. Though he was walking through the footprint of a giant he remained unaware of the significance. No matter the impact that we have on nature, nature will continue to trudge on. No matter the obstacles that we put in it's way, nature will persevere.

Along the Oregon coast there are a plethora of Himalayan Blackberries. They are considered an invasive species but are quite delicious. I found these berries growing over the door of an abandoned building. It reminded me just how quickly nature can reclaim what it has lost. The door seems simple, but we are the only species that has created the door, so to me it symbolizes civilization. The berries are invasive, but who invaded who first?
