My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

These photographs were all taken from a trip to Berlin in February 2012, there are many more but in keeping with the rules of this entry I am only able to upload 5.
A little about myself - I'm a 2nd year Fine Art student and photographer, currently studying at the University of Hertfordshire. Typically I enjoy "street photography" - often the subject is unaware they are being photographed, which allows me to capture some very unusual moments, a slice of life that carries the 21st century zeitgeist. I have found that I learn best through experimentation, and would relish the opportunity to try my hand at the more journalistic style seen in Nat Geo.
I have done my fair share of travelling, but mainly within Europe - France, Berlin, Ireland, etc. however, as a student I do not have as much time or money to travel anymore. This scholarship would not only give me an opportunity to travel again, but it would allow me to satisfy my desire to explore the world beyond the borders of the EU; a chance to sample a brand new culture and way of life. It would broaden my horizons, and give me essential experience that will open more doors for me when it comes to finding employment after university.
