My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Thailand | Friday, August 13, 2010 | 5 photos

Portraiture is something i love... in different countries we find different races and colorcasts.
Shooting outdoors using the natural light is a challenge and shows people in their natural diary scenarios, into their day by day moods.
Taking photos of natural landscapes is very complicated and needs a lot of work and practice in my opinion... composition, dynamic range in harsh light conditions, color; being able to tell a story through a main subject focusing on it and placing it in an appropriate spot of the frame, using depth of field to isolate it from unfocused negative space, etc... while in portraiture is easier to me... he/she is the subject or his/her activity; focusing sharp in the eyes catchlights helps.

About me... I am an architect who loves travelling to learn about nature and all the different cultures. Own a Pentax K_x and really happy with it, bought a 55-300mm new lens which has given me hundreds of nice moments... looking forward to own a 70mm portrait fix lens and a macro one too ha :)
I am soccer and tennis player and also an experienced scuba diver.
Looking forward to learn and learn about photography, a beautiful world is there to be pictured!!
