About thaibug
This is my fourth trip to Thailand. Hmmmm, maybe I should just move there! The first time I went was with my daughter and son-in-law. We stayed at Railay beach. I lived in the Bahamas for a year but the landscape doesn't even come close to the beauty of Thailand. The second trip I took to Thailand was with two friends. We had a fantastic time. My office mate also happened to be there at the same time. That trip was the first time I had ever gone kayaking. I loved it! The last time I went was with another friend, her husband and their two adult boys! We travelled a bit through Thailand, another amazing journey. This year, I am starting alone and staying in Phuket. I will be joined for one weekend by a good friend from Malaysia and one of his friends. A silent temple stay is also on my agenda. I hope I can handle it! - The hard bed that is, not the silence! I am really looking forward to the retreat and expect a shift in personal perspective following my stay there. One of the most exciting parts of my trip will be the arrival of my other daughter, one of my sons and their significant others. I will have been in Thailand with 3 of my 4 kids!!!!! I guess that means I have to go to Thailand at least one more time!
The trip won't be all play though, as I have to study. I plan to get some writing in too. This is my first attempt at blogging so we will see if I will be dedicated enough to keep it going through my trip!
