Taz Travels
A look into my world. A story without words, that crosses boundaries of the tongue, for anyone to read.
My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited - Agnes Waters Feb - Mar 2013

My interest first developed at age 7. My dad came from work in uniform, to pick me up from school, his big work camera around his neck. I wanted to learn but I wasn't allowed to touch a camera. I had no pocket money to save for one.
When I was 10, my combined birthday & Xmas money was $35. It was enough to buy my first camera-$30 & 1 roll of 24exp film. I was only allowed a few rolls a year.
Since then, photography has been a favorite hobby-each image, a moment in time never lost, something to quietly share and subtly inspire. An international language for all to read, without the the barrier of words.
Since I was a kid, I've had an explorers heart, since I saw my 1st world map.
Camping, the only holidays we could afford. I love hiking, camping-getting back to nature.
As an adult I've had a few shoestring solo travel adventures. I love going to out of the way places to forever capture their beauty and learn new things, that too many miss as they rush by.
This scholarship is the sort of dream I that I dreamed of since I was a little kid. And a mentor to show how to do my photographic interest in the right way, and from the prestigious National Geographic too, nothing could top that!
