Salt has not only ensured the survival of mankind, but colored our food, religions, politics and superstitions. In ancient times, because of its power to preserve and purify, salt was spilled upon legal documents to symbolize enduring agreement and freedom from deceit. Mans effort to obtain salt can be traced back through history for salt has always been essential to human life. Salt was more precious to men than gold.

Even though this place is abandoned, you still sometimes can see families, specially young women coming here to get the recipe of beauty - this salt is famous for it's benefits in skin-care and nutrition.

Unfortunately people don't appreciate the gems of nature that they have and destroy all the beauty and pureness of it. Only lonely seagull is trying to understand the reasons of such thoughtless behavior. This garbage was left by random occasional tourists that come here once in a while and we can just hope that it will be cleaned up one day...
